Alice's Embrace is a nonprofit organization devoted to providing hand-knit and hand-crocheted prayer shawls and lap blankets to those suffering from Alzheimer's disease. We also have given our gifts to patients on hospice in local hospice organizations; providing them with peaceful comfort during their final days.
Since 2014 we have given away thousands of gifts to wonderful people who are sadly facing the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s. Our devoted and talented volunteers have knit and crocheted the patterns that were created especially for Alice’s Embrace. Through the loving hands of many generous and gifted contributors, our hope is that this endeavor will continue on for generations to come.
Due to family members needing more daily help, unfortunately, Founder, Diane Lewis, is stepping away from the day-to-day duties of running Alice’s Embrace. Her plan is to still be in the background helping the Alice’s Embrace Partners continue this special work she began. If you’d like, please read the heartfelt letter Diane shared in the newsletter here.
Now, that the Alice’s Embrace Partners are continuing this endeavor, please be sure to check out the group’s Facebook page here.
Together, we've made a difference to the lives of so many people.
Thank you so very much for your part in it… everyone working together is how we will make a difference!
